Kass eyes another stab at Olympic gold
2007-02-08
Double Olympic snowboarding silver medalist Danny Kass has not given up hope of adding gold to his medal collection. The 24-year-old Kass, who headlined an "urban snowboarding" exhibition in New York City on Thursday, had to settle for silver at the 2002 and 2006 Winter Games and said he had unfinished business at the Olympics. "Snowboarding is moving along, growing all the time. I've been working on my halfpipe, pushing it to the next level. "There are tons of goals I still have, big tricks I want to do. Death defying air -- that's what I'm looking for." Kass said he has kept busy since the Turin Games making snowboarding videos, promoting the sport and running a clothing company with his brother. The Union Square Street Sessions featured two dozen top snowboarders going after $30,000 in prize money on a customized urban rail that gave competitors a choice of three down rails with the center rail over a flight of metal stairs.
