Toyota says to produce new hybrid battery next year

Japan's NEC offers to repair defective computers

Nissan, NEC group in lithium-ion battery venture
Japan's Nissan Motor Co. (7201.T), NEC Corp. (6701.T) and unit NEC Tokin Corp. (6759.T) said on Friday they would form a joint venture company to produce lithium-ion batteries from 2009 to be used in hybrid and other electric cars and challenge rivals in the promising field.
