Nike Inc. said on Friday it had terminated its contract with Atlanta Falcons' quarterback Michael Vick after he admitted in a plea agreement he took part in an illegal, interstate dogfighting enterprise.
In a statement, Nike cited the "abhorrent" dog-fighting enterprise known as "Bad Newz Kennels," which Vick helped finance and operate from 2001 through April 2007.
