Daniel Alfredsson and Antoine Vermette scored shootout goals to lift the Ottawa Senators to a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins on Sunday, their seventh straight victory.

Vermette also scored in regulation as the Senators turned back the Bruins for a second successive game. They won 3-2 in Ottawa on Saturday.

"It wasn't our best game, but it's a road game and we'll take the two points," Vermette told reporters. "We found a way to get back in."

The win was the 12th in 13 games for the Northeast Division-leading Senators and they are a perfect 5-0 on the road.

Chuck Kobasew's first-period goal put the Bruins into a 1-0 lead. Vermette used a short-handed goal to level the scores at 4:01 of the third.

Neither team scored in overtime before Alfredsson and Vermette put pucks past Boston netminder Tim Thomas in the shootout.

Kobasew and Phil Kessel missed shootout opportunities for Boston.

Ottawa netminder Martion Gerber made 21 saves, stopping all four Boston shots in the second period and 10 more in the third. Thomas had 35 saves.

*Pascal Leclaire posted his NHL-leading fifth shutout of the season, stopping 21 shots in the Columbus Blue Jackets' 3-0 home win over the St. Louis Blues. Manny Malhotra, Rich Nash and Jason Chimera scored for Columbus.

*Alexander Radulov had a goal and an assist during a three-goal first period to help the Nashville Predators to their third straight win, scoring a 5-2 road victory over the Chicago Blackhawks. Predators netminder Chris Mason made 30 saves.
