Flyers beat Canadiens to win series 4-1

The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Montreal Canadiens 6-4 on Saturday to win their series and advance to the Eastern Conference finals. Philadelphia center R.J. Umberger scored twice to bring his goal tally to nine for the playoffs as the Flyers eliminated the 24-time Stanley Cup champions 4-1 in the best-of-seven series. Montreal opened up a 3-1 lead in the second period but Philadelphia roared back with a three-goal flurry in just under three minutes. Montreal tied the game at 4-4 early in the third but the Flyers scored twice in the last four minutes to seal the win. (Reporting by Robert Melnbardis; Editing by Peter Rutherford)
