'Still Walking' takes top honors at Argentine film festival

BUENOS AIRES (AFP) - Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda's film "Still Walking" won best picture honors Saturday at Argentina's Mar del Plata International Film Festival. Kiyoshi Kurosawa won the best director award for his family drama "Tokyo Sonata," which tells the story of man hiding the fact he was fired from his high-powered corporate job from his wife and children. Malaysian film 'Block B', by Chris Chong Chan-fui, meanwhile won the international short film prize at the festival in the oceanside city 400 kilometers (250 miles) south of here. Among Latin American entries, Mexican film "Los Bastardos," directed by Amat Escalante, won the best regional picture while Brazilian entry "Saltos," by Gregorio Graziosi, took the prize for best regional short film.
