Washington - The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation is reopening and expanding its investigation of alleged Chinese espionage at U.S. nuclear research labs, the Los Angeles Times said, citing unnamed government officials. The new investigation will start by examining everyone with access to the advanced W-88 warhead program, including personnel at private contractors such as Lockheed Martin Corp., the Energy and Defense departments and the U.S. Navy, the newspaper said. The original probe of allegations that a Chinese spy stole secrets from the Los Alamos lab in California has stalled for lack of evidence, the Times said, citing the officials. ... ...
